*The audition will be primarily to assess the voice quality and potential of a singer โ particularly as that relates to suitability to sing as a member of Hamilton Civic Choir โ by singing one unaccompanied folk song of your choosing. Other music areas will also be tested (e.g. sight-reading, aural acuity). Applicants will additionally have a brief interview with the Musical Director, a choir Committee member, and an experienced chorister within the choir, and also be given the opportunity to ask questions.
** โone yearโ may be negotiable, e.g., the recipient may be required to sing in a forthcoming concert where this falls outside a calendar year.
Our sincere thanks to the HCC Foundation for providing funds towards one 2025 choral scholarship.
